Keep Your Crew Connected with PROTOS® BT-COM
On a tree care job, the crew can be spread between the canopy, the ground and different parts of the worksite. A dedicated communication system helps team members stay in contact as the job progresses.
The PROTOS® BT-COM brings hands-free Bluetooth® communication to the PROTOS hearing protection system, with a compact design that fits directly into the hearing protection capsule.
Natural conversation between crew members
The BT-COM connects up to four users through an intercom network. Full-duplex operation allows connected team members to speak and listen simultaneously, without taking turns pressing a talk button.
This makes it easier to discuss the next stage of a job and stay in contact while working in different positions.
Designed to fit your PROTOS setup
The communication system sits inside the hearing protection capsule, avoiding loose cables and external control units. The capsule can still fold into the helmet’s parking position when required.
The system adds approximately 42 g, including the battery, and uses three simple controls: a multifunction button and two volume buttons.
Voice clarity and connectivity
A directional microphone helps suppress ambient noise during voice transmission. The BT-COM can also pair with a compatible Bluetooth® mobile phone.
Published range figures are up to 150 m between two units and up to 600 m across a four-unit network under suitable conditions. Terrain, obstructions and the positioning of users affect actual range.
Ready for the working day
With a battery life of at least eight hours, the BT-COM supports communication throughout the working day. Recharge it using the included USB charging bracket.
It is compatible with the PROTOS hearing protection system and the PROTOS Headset, giving you options for your preferred setup.
