Petzl PANTIN® CLICK: Practical Features for More Efficient Rope Ascent
For climbing arborists, well-fitting equipment and straightforward adjustment can make rope ascent less tiring. The Petzl PANTIN® CLICK Foot Ascender combines a ratchet adjustment system with an integrated rope-retaining catch to support smoother ascent.
It comes in two versions: yellow for the right foot and black for the left foot, so you can choose the side that suits your climbing setup.
What does a foot ascender do?
A foot ascender helps you use your legs during rope ascent. The PANTIN® CLICK is designed for use alongside Petzl CROLL®, ASCENSION or ASCENTREE rope clamps as part of a compatible ascent system.
Its design helps the rope feed through the device during the first few metres of the climb, supporting smoother movement as you get started.
Quick adjustment with the ratchet buckle
The ratchet buckle and ladder strap allow precise adjustment around your footwear and make the device quick to fit and release.
A catch to help retain the rope
The integrated catch helps keep the rope inside the device while ascending. The mechanism sits within the body of the ascender to help reduce snagging.
Durable construction for regular use
The PANTIN® CLICK combines a corrosion-resistant stainless steel cam with an abrasion-resistant high-modulus polyethylene strap. Its toothed cam incorporates a self-cleaning slot to support performance in varied conditions, including dirty or frozen ropes.
A replacement PANTIN® CLICK webbing strap is also available.
