Silky Zubat Ultimate Handsaw 33cm
Over 14 years in the making. And now available. The new Silky Zubat Ultimate Handsaw.
Usually, handsaws are designed for only one cutting purpose. They are optimized for one style of cutting, either a rip-cut or a cross or slant-cut. For cutting with the grain, you needed a rip-cut saw. A saw with teeth optimized to cut effectively with the grain and remove the sawdust efficiently.
For a cross or slant-cut when, say, removing a branch, you needed a different tooth configuration on your saw.
Silky has invested more than fourteen years in developing the Ultimate Tree Pruning Saw. A saw that will cut with maximum efficiency on cross and slant cuts. And if you want to do rip-cuts, it will still perform at maximum efficiency.
But that is not the only part of the story. They have also added progressive teeth to the blade.
Progressive Teeth and Downward Pressure
Silky Saws are extremely sharp. Excessive downward pressure on your Silky Zubat into a branch will cause it to bite into the branch. Pulling the saw on the first cut can be difficult. More teeth at the start of the cut mean that it doesn’t bite into the branch as much at the start. Once you start cutting the teeth get bigger for maximum cutting efficiency.
