The Husqvarna Automower® 450X NERA with Wire-Free Technology is a premium robotic lawn mower designed for large, complex residential lawns.

Using Husqvarna EPOS® satellite technology, the mower operates within precise virtual boundaries created through the Automower® Connect app. This removes the need to install a physical boundary wire and gives you greater flexibility to adjust mowing areas whenever your lawn or garden layout changes.

With systematic mowing, the 450X NERA can maintain lawns up to 7,500 m². When operating with an irregular mowing pattern, it is suitable for areas up to 5,000 m².

Built-in radar sensors help the mower detect and avoid objects, reducing unnecessary impacts and unplanned stops. Automower® Zone Control allows you to divide the lawn into separate work areas, apply different settings and create temporary stay-out zones directly from your smartphone.

This bundle includes the EPOS® Plug-in and EPOS® Reference Station required for a wire-free installation.

Wire-Free EPOS® Installation

Husqvarna EPOS® uses satellite-based positioning to create virtual boundaries without the need for a physical boundary wire.

Through the Automower® Connect app, you can create and adjust:

• Virtual work areas

• Transport paths

• Temporary stay-out zones

• Individual mowing schedules

• Different cutting heights for separate areas

• Systematic or irregular mowing patterns

Virtual boundaries can be changed whenever required, making it easy to protect seasonal flowers, newly planted areas, outdoor projects or spaces being used for recreation.

A garden assessment is recommended before installation to confirm that the property has suitable satellite coverage and a clear location for the Reference Station.

Systematic and Irregular Mowing

The 450X NERA gives you the flexibility to choose the mowing pattern that best suits your lawn.

Systematic mowing guides the mower along organised paths for efficient coverage and allows it to maintain areas up to 7,500 m². Available visual patterns include:

• Parallel lines

• Chequerboard

• Triangle

Irregular mowing cuts the lawn from changing directions and is suitable for complex or obstacle-filled areas up to 5,000 m².

Different mowing methods and settings can be assigned to individual work areas through Automower® Zone Control.

Automower® Zone Control

Automower® Zone Control lets you tailor lawn maintenance to different areas of your property.

Using the Automower® Connect app, you can create:

• Separate work areas with individual schedules

• Different cutting heights for each area

• Temporary exclusion zones

• Protected areas around seasonal plants

• Stay-out zones around garden projects or outdoor activities

These zones can be adjusted without moving or reinstalling physical wire.

Object Detection and Avoidance

Built-in radar sensors help the mower detect and avoid objects on the lawn. This reduces the risk of unnecessary impacts and unplanned interruptions while helping the mower operate more efficiently.

The lawn should still be kept clear of small objects, toys, hoses and other items that may be difficult for the mower to detect.
