Rock Exotica Akimbo²- One Device, Two Systems
Rock Exotica Akimbo² - One Device, Two Systems, Zero Tool-Faff
If you climb the canopy often enough, you know the real time-drain isn’t the climb—it’s the constant gear swapping. The Akimbo² is built to cut that out. It’s a mid-line attachable arborist climbing device designed to let you ascend, descend, and position on both SRS and MRS without detaching from your saddle or adding extra hardware.
What makes it feel “next-gen” isn’t just the smooth handling—it’s how adaptable it is. The friction settings adjust without tools, and the upper and lower bollards let you tune performance across a wide range of ropes (11.5–12.7 mm) - just smart user validation and dialing-in on site.
Rock Exotica also refined the Akimbo² for longevity and real-world use: replaceable components extend service life, and the device compresses down into a compact form both on and off rope. In SRS mode, it offers auxiliary chest-tending connection options, including a wire-gate point for quick connect/disconnect—small details that add up when you’re moving efficiently through a big crown.
Quick specs (at a glance): Rope range 11.5–12.7 mm, WLL 30–130 kg, MBS 23 kN, weight 301 g, CE certified. Intended for experienced users—read the manual before climbing.
